The Afro Classic Community

What we represent

Afro Classics is more than just a car club; it's a vibrant community celebrating African and Caribbean heritage through a shared passion for classic cars. Established in 2017, this "car family" emphasizes inclusivity, respect, and bringing people together, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds who appreciate classic automobiles.

The club's core values center on community support, intergenerational connection, and challenging perceptions of classic car ownership. It aims to create an open and welcoming environment, celebrating cultural nuances often overlooked in traditional car clubs. The focus is on people, their stories, and the role cars play in their lives, rather than just the vehicles themselves.

Afro Classics is dedicated to driving change, fostering social and economic mobility, and giving back to the community through events, fundraising, and supporting young people. The club prides itself on its hospitality, the positive experiences of its members and guests, and a genuine desire for everyone to feel valued and included. It's a place where heritage, culture, and a love of classic cars intersect to create a unique and enriching community.

Remembering the Victims

The Afro Classics 2026 season begins on Bank Holiday Sunday 5 April.

Register for a free ticket on Eventbrite and if you own a classic car you can apply to join us on our website.

We are joining forces with the New Cross Fire Foundation (NCFF) to remember the victims of one of the most traumatic events in the UK’s Black community - the 1981 New Cross Fire.

We are more than just a car club. Our aim is to create spaces that bring our community together while showcasing our classic cars. Our events embody our culture, and our guests represent our community.

Join us for a day of remembrance.
